Our Course Listings to Upgrade Your Clinical Skills
The 6 main courses are the core of our program. These courses are delivered
live through Zoom. As an added bonus, the courses will be recorded to view on-demand at your convenience. Some courses are practical, some courses are theory and some courses are a combination.
We want to ensure success of our students and want to keep the quality of your services high.
We developed our courses primarily for the manual therapy healthcare professional that has joint mobilizations in their scope of practice: chiropractors, physiotherapists, osteopaths, or massage therapists. We designed our courses to complement any type of practice type, specialty or philosophy.
Since only three of our 7 courses focus on joint mobilizations (C1 Adjusting, TL Adjusting and Lumbar Spine & SI Joint Instability), the other four courses can be taken by any health or fitness professional with an interest in joint instability. This is discussed on each individual course page.
The courses are intended to be taken in order. However, you can be selective and
take whichever course you desire. Each course can be a stand alone experience,
but some relevant details will be touched upon in the other courses.
PLEASE NOTE: We are in the process of growing and getting the material complete. We ask for your patience as it takes time to get the live courses completed and on-demand videos available. Currently, our C1 Adjusting & Basic Assessment Course is the only on-demand video available.
C1 Adjusting & Basic Assessment

C1 Complete Assessment
This course will explore the full spectrum of clinical tests for evaluating a C1 misalignment to be able to fully and completely restore health to the upper cervical spine.

TL Adjusting & Full Assessment
The thoracolumbar joint is a prominent problematic joint. Learn how to assess, diagnose and treat modern TL Joint Syndrome.
TL Joint Instability
The thoracolumbar joint is a very common site of joint instability. Learn to assess, diagnose and treat this condition.
Lumbar Spine & SI Joint Instability
Lumbar spine joint instability and sacroiliac joint instability are common conditions. Learn to assess, diagnose & treat both of these conditions.
EXTRA: Therapeutic Foam Rolling
This condensed course will take practitioners through all the basic foam rolling massage techniques for most muscles of the body. It will allow practitioners to provide these techniques for patients to enhance recovery, reduce work by the body and limit treatment time.
CORE 6 COURSES
This bundle of the core 6 courses is the complete program, all at a special rate. You will become a qualified practitioner and have exclusive access to additional support, opportunities, content and bonus courses such as our Therapeutic Foam Rolling course.
EXTRA: Prolotherapy 101
This extra, on-demand, one-on-one or small group course will teach qualified practitioners, that have experience with prolotherapy, in an online and live setting, the best, proven protocols to treat joint instability of the upper cervical spine, thoracolumbar joint, lumbar spine and sacroiliac joints.

Complementary Zoom Calls
For qualified practitioners, there will be monthly or biweekly Zoom calls to go over questions, concerns and cases. These will be a regular support to ensure you are learning and growing.

All members have access to our course platform community page and qualified practitioners will have access to our community Facebook page to interact with fellow health professionals to discuss cases, ask questions and share successes.
Reduced Rate Coaching
One-on-one coaching sessions are available for those needing extra instruction and assistance with learning the techniques and content, above and beyond the courses.

Qualified practitioners will be listed on the website to promote their knowledge and upgraded skills. Additional action steps will be required to be on our listing.

Dr. Ryan Emmons
Doctor of Chiropractic
Dr. Emmons is a CMCC graduate and has been in practice since 2006. Since 2017, Dr. Emmons went on his own personal journey to heal his own upper cervical instability, thoracolumbar instability and lumbar spine joint instability and the long list of challenging symptoms. To date, his personal case was still the worst case of instability he has treated and this has allowed him to successfully treat hundreds of cases. He has developed, evolved and refined many aspects of adjusting and modern joint instability to the course content we have here today. Having experienced these conditions first hand allows Dr. Emmons to have a very unique perspective and he is very passionate about these topics.

The following should answer most of your additional questions
Question 1: What does it means to be a qualified practitioner?
A qualified practitioner is someone that has taken all core 6 courses. Our resources pertain to all courses and only practitioners that understand all the content may have full access. You may take all six courses individually or as a bundle. Once a bundle is purchased you will have instant access versus waiting to complete all of the six core courses.
Question 2: How do I get listed as a practitioner on the website?
After taking all six core courses, you may elect to be tested virtually with an instructor to ensure your assessment and treatment are effective and of high quality to be added to our practitioner listing.
Question 3: Do I have to join the live Zoom calls?
No. All the content will be available with on-demand, recorded Zoom calls. The priority and benefit of the Zoom calls is to ask questions, practice and have live discussions and feedback.
Question 4: What if the on-demand videos are not yet available?
The live course dates will be listed. They will only be available after a live course has been completed. Please be patient as we develop our content.
Question 1: Are continuing education credits (CECs) available with these courses?
No. Formal credits are not provided for individual courses. While these courses would easily be approved for most practitioners, our goal is to make these courses affordable for the individual practitioner. To keep the courses at a low cost, we do not get them approved and pay the extra fees necessary. However, the six core course bundle can be approved if demand is adequate. Question 2: Are completion certificates available?
Certificates are available upon request. Once you complete all six core courses you will be certified as a Clinical Upgrade practitioner. We believe this is a high status for our practitioners.
Question 3: Are in-person live courses available?
Yes. The six core courses are available as a one-day course. Visit clinicalupgrade.ca and select the 'In-Person Course' option for more details.
Question 4: Will you have affiliate links available?
